Pride Mountain Winery

Pride Mountain Winery is located on the site of a property historically known as “Summit Ranch” and a visit to the property quickly confirms why.  The twisting twenty-minute drive west from St. Helena, or east from Santa Rosa, rewards visitors with a stunning view of rugged Mount St. Helena to the northeast and vineyards rolling across the hills in all directions.

Pride Mountain Vineyards is a 235-acre estate winery that blends smoothly into its mountainous surroundings.

The charming and unpretentious tasting room offers guests the opportunity to sample the latest vintages while chatting with the gracious and knowledgeable staff.

Besides the winery, the crush pad is bisected by a brick inlay that defines the Napa/Sonoma County line. Walking into the caves, the temperature drops to the high 50s, humidity rises, and the visitor is greeted with the heady aromas of wine and oak.

There are 23,000 square feet of subterranean storage and it winds naturally under the hillside, opening out onto a terrace overlooking the vineyards and the scenic northern Napa Valley.

The Pride family hopes each visitor leaves with a warmer and better understanding of winemaking.

The vineyards mainly face south and are above the fog layer which results in vines bathed in sunshine from morning to evening throughout the growing season. These distinct growing conditions result in big red wines that are enjoyable and age gracefully. They also create amazing white wines that are distinguished by having a strong flavor intensity while simultaneously remaining fresh and lively in the mouth.

Overall, their winemaking practices are traditional, even as they continue to evolve, and they let the terroir signatures of the grapes be present in the finished wines.  Their goal is to make delicious wines that reflect and honor their unique growing situation at 2100’ elevation.

Hospitality is equally as important as winemaking to the Pride family and the hospitality team is focused on providing a warm, sociable and educational experience for each guest.

The most important and pleasurable measure of success for Pride Mountain Winery is the feedback and encouragement from their guests!

We highly recommend a visit (appointment required) and a bottle of their wine.  Cheers!
